Restructuring Rauchmühle Salzburg

PRISMA Zentrum für Standort- und Regionalentwicklung GmbH is building several residential properties with a common, interconnected underground parking garage on the site of the former Rauchmühle. In addition to the consideration of the adjacent existing buildings, it was necessary to relocate the existing mill stream, which partly flows under the existing buildings from south to north, and to convert it into an open channel. The subsoil conditions at the construction site present themselves superficially as sandy gravel, which is subsequently underlain by the “Salzburger lake-clay” in the form of very slightly silty fine sands. The excavation pit of the underground car park was secured by sheet piling, the adjacent buildings were underpinned by means of HDBV methods. Within the scope of the geotechnical site supervision, the execution of the excavation support and the groundwater conditions were monitored by means of water gauges.
