Power plant Gries

In 2009, we were commissioned with the basic survey and preliminary planning for the construction of the Salzach power plant in Gries. During the concretization of the planning, increased requirements arose, mainly due to the existing groundwater conditions and the proximity to the ÖBB railway line. The power plant construction was finally implemented in two construction phases from 2016 to 2019. Conventional stability calculations and FE models were used for the design of the excavation pit and the prediction of the deformations. Regarding the permissible deformations, an extensive measurement program was carried out and the work on the power plant and the surrounding construction measures was supervised during the entire construction process. During operation we still support the client as geotechnical consultants.
