Preliminary geotechnical investigation of anchored support structures - A09 Pyhrn freeway

In order to assess the long-term stability of retaining structures along the A09 Pyhrn freeway in the section from Hengsberg to St. Michael, all anchored structures were subjected to a review of the existing as-built documents. For those objects for which no sufficient basis for an assessment could be obtained, a subsurface investigation was carried out for a geological-geotechnical assessment of the prevailing subsurface conditions. On the basis of the subsoil investigation, which consisted of percussion soundings, excavation pits and rotary core drillings, an assessment report was prepared for each object, on the basis of which (earth) static recalculations and repair concepts could subsequently be worked out.
