Reservoir Haitzingalm - Gastein

Within the scope of an environmental impact assessment for the modernization of the Schlossalm lifts and ski slopes, the Gasteiner Bergbahnen was granted permission by the Province of Salzburg for the construction of the Haitzingalm snow reservoir. Our office was entrusted with the construction supervision under water law as well as with the vibration department of the technical environmental protection. The execution of the project in accordance with the permit was monitored in the course of regular site visits and documented in file notes. After completion of the reservoir in 2019, our Managing Director, Dr. Christoph Wiltafsky, was appointed as the person responsible for the dam. In addition to annual inspections with functional tests of the relevant plant components, the responsibility for the dam includes the preparation of an annual report. This report contains a summary of the inspections carried out on site, the interpretation of the geotechnical measurement results, the documentation of repair and maintenance work, and the specification of measures required for further operation.
