Location

Realization
2018-2020
In words

In November 2018, a flood caused massive damage to the downstream bank walls and embankments of the St. Martin Weir. Part of the left bank wall collapsed as a result.

The existing scouring under the wall foundations in the area of the right downstream bank walls was backfilled and rehabilitated in the summer of 2019 using jet grouting.

Due to the damage, it was decided to construct a new stilling basin sill and to enlarge the existing stilling basin. This measure was implemented together with the new construction of the fallen bank wall, the strengthening of the remaining bank walls in the tailwater using tension grouted piles, and the embankment rehabilitation in the spring of 2020 in only 15 weeks of construction time. The dotation of the residual waterway with 5m³/s was carried out during the entire construction period without any disturbances via siphon pipes.
