Building land safety model Wagrain West

To the west of the center of Wagrain, on the orographically right side of the valley, a building land extension was planned. The area to be rezoned is about 2.6 hectares in size and is located on a south-facing slope, with inclinations of up to 30° and a mountain-side leveling. Because parts of the area are a landslide mass, the State Geologist specified the sinking of at least two core borings for subsurface exploration. The exploration was finally carried out by two excavator trenches and three core drillings of which two were developed as inclinometers. The findings of the investigations were summarized and presented in a geotechnical report and a subsoil model. The suitability of parts of the area as building land could be determined.
