Major road B 100 (Drautal Bundesstrasse, Austria) between Radlach West and Berg West

In the course of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the extension of the federal road B 100 (Drautal Bundesstraße) our office covered the fields of geotechnic and vibration (engineering).

The investigated road section was subdivided into the following segments:

  • Greifenburg: length 5.435 m, including two subsurface routes with lengths of approx. 520 m and 850 m

  • Berg: length 1.170 m, including one subsurface route with a length of approx. 360 m

  • Dellach: length 4.700 m, including one subsurface route with a length of approx. 360 m

Services provided

Geotechnic: 

  • Perusal of existing documents

  • Determination of the necessary site investigation

  • Support during tendering of the site investigation works

  • Documentation of the soil layers and rocks in the pits and the boreholes

  • Assessment of the underground conditions in consideration of the planned road works

  • Description of the current status and analysis of the impacts in consequence of the construction in view of geotechnical aspects

  • Geotechnical expert opinion fort he EIA

Vibration (engineering):

  • Perusal of existing documents

  • Determination of the monitoring program

  • Documentation of adjacent buildings

  • Determination of the absorption properties of the underground considering wave propagation, by means of geodynamic recording

  • Measuring of the emission of vibration caused by the current traffic and of the immission of vibration in a building next to the major road

  • Description of the current status and analysis of the impacts in consequence of the construction in view of expected vibration emissions

  • Geotechnical expert opinion fort he EIA
