The origin of GDP ZT-OG dates back to 1983, when Dr. Garber established a firm with special focus on underground engineering. A few years later, Dr. Dalmatiner joined the company and together they developed the "Ingenieurgemeinschaft Garber - Dalmatiner" into a civil engineering enterprise covering the fields of soil and rock mechanics and geotechnics in general.

Due to the order situation the staff increased slowly and constantly over the years. Additionally, branch offices in Carinthia and Salzburg were opened, enabling closer contacts with our clients. In 2006, two new partners became associates: Dr. Marte, who beforehand, as the two senior partners, had worked for the Technical University of Graz (Institut für Bodenmechanik und Grundbau), and DI Ruprecht, who also had been a long-standing employee and now covers, amongst others, the field of statics.

As a result of the sudden passing of Dr. Garber on July 23rd 2008 the company´s name was changed to GDP ZT-OG. With a staff of meanwhile over 20 highly qualified employees GDP ZT-OG is capable of offering geotechnic-related services during all stages of project development. Currently our area of activity stretches from Austria to the whole European Union and beyond.
